A case is a civil action when a person petitions the court to protect a civil right or obtain a civil remedy. In civil cases, one party files a lawsuit against another, asking for money or a court order against the other party. Alexander County civil records are also available at the public, self-service terminals in the office of Alexander County Clerk of Court. Alexander County Marriage Records

The online marriage request form is made available to access these marriage certificates. The office's fee schedule states that a certified copy of the certificate will cost $10 while an uncertified copy will cost $2.

To obtain a certified copy by mail, submit the Application for Certified Copy of Vital Record form and pay with a check or money order to vitalrecords@alexandercountync.gov. Each certified copy costs $10 while an uncertified copy costs $1.
